Good to know

When is the PSAT in 2026?

On a day your school chooses between Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 30, 2026. Schools can also offer it on Saturday, October 17. The same window holds the PSAT 8/9 and SAT School Day.

How do I sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT?

Through your school. Schools and districts pick the day and handle registration; students don't register themselves. Schools order the test from College Board: on time by Wednesday, September 30, or later with a late fee.

When do PSAT scores come out?

It depends on when your school sends in the answers: scores arrive 13 days later, on Thursday, October 22, Thursday, November 5, Thursday or November 12. Educators see them 2 days before students do. For state-funded testing, ask your state.

What comes after the PSAT?

The next SAT weekend test is Saturday, November 7, 2026; register by Friday, October 23. See all SAT test dates for 2026–27.
