Writing to Santa

Let them write it themselves, spelling and all. Help with the hard words only if they ask.
Five wishes is plenty. The kind thing they did goes first, so the letter isn't only a list.
Mail it, if you like. In the US, the Postal Service's Operation Santa takes letters each December; in Canada, Canada Post answers letters to Santa Claus, North Pole, H0H 0H0, mailed before its December deadline. Check each one's dates.
Keep a copy. A letter a year, kept in a folder, is a lovely record of how they grew.
